Can my 2025 Half Corked Marathon ticket be refunded?
No, as per the agreed upon terms and conditions at the time of purchase all tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable and term C provided for changes required due to the pandemic.

Why am I not getting emails about the Half Corked Marathon?
If you have previously participated and are not receiving emails it is because you have unsubscribed from Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country’s mailing lists. Please click newsletter sign-ups at the top of this page to resubscribe. All participants for the 2025 Half Corked Marathon will be verified as active or contacted to update their contact status. Make sure marathon@oliverosoyoos.com is on your safe senders list.
How do I purchase a ticket into the Half Corked Marathon?
The Half Corked Marathon is a high-demand event and tickets are not available for general purchase. Tickets are sold by lottery.
Are tickets refundable?
All ticket sales into the Half Corked Marathon are FINAL – the tickets are non-refundable. No exceptions.
Are tickets transferable?
All tickets into the Half Corked Marathon are FINAL – the tickets are non-transferable. No exceptions.
Can I buy a ticket from someone who is unable to participate?
No, all tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. Participants were made aware of these terms prior to completing their ticket purchase. If someone is trying to sell you a ticket is will not be valid.
Are there other ways to get tickets into the Half Corked Marathon?
If your company is interested in sponsoring the Half Corked Marathon there are some sponsorship levels that offer tickets; please contact us at marathon@oliverosoyoos.com if you would like to know more about sponsoring the marathon.
What is included in my Half Corked Marathon ticket?
Tickets include race entry, transportation to the Start Line and pick-up from the finish line, lunch at the Finish Line, wine and food tastings along the race course, a welcome bag with exclusive offers from Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country wineries and event sponsors.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
When do I need to register?
The policies for tickets are extremely clear all participants must register IN PERSON on Friday May 30th. Participants may be provided with a designate window of time in which they can complete their registration. Failure to register during this time frame means that you will not be able to participate in the marathon.
Can a team member register for me?
No, all registrations must be completed by the specific individual participant we must visually approve each participants based on their photo ID.
What do I need to bring to registration?
Each participant must have TWO pieces of valid identification to register, at least one form of your ID must have a photo and be issued by a government organization. Additionally, you will need to bring your signed waiver – this document will be sent to all participants in the week leading up to the marathon.
When and how do I submit my team/group information?
For all people who want to be assigned to the same wave they must submit a team form, this includes spouses, siblings, and partners, regardless of if you are participating in the costume contest. Team forms will be sent to participants approximately 4 weeks prior to the race. The team form is the only format this information will be accepted in, please do not submit this information via email.
MARATHON INFORMATION
Do I have to be able to run to participate?
Yes. Endorsed by BC Athletics, participants should be able to run 5km with some levels of incline over rugged terrain, in order to comfortably complete the 24km route in the time allocated. As always, the Sag Wagon will be ready to assist guests who don’t reach the mid-way point before the cut off time, and transport them to the Party at the Finish Line.
How far is the marathon?
The race course varies slightly each year to incorporate as many wineries along the route as possible; however it is typically about 20-24 km in length. For 2025, the course includes both the Golden Mile and Black Sage Benches and involves rugged terrain, more hills and more scenic vistas of the valley and vineyard, it is physically more challenging that prior years.
How long do I have to complete the race?
Wave times will be staggered throughout the day and participants will have a maximum of 3.5 hours to complete the course within the pandemic protocols in place. (Protocols and restrictions will be shared with participants in advance of the marathon but will be changed and updated to correspond to evolving provincial and federal regulations).
Do I have to drink on the course?
The race is hosted in wine country and many of our wineries will be along the course to cheer you on and offer samples of their wines; however you are not obligated to drink and we encourage you to consume safely (that is, pace yourself along the route and at the Finish Line). Water stations will be provided along the route and we encourage you to drink water frequently.
Where is the Start Line?
Participants will be escorted to the Start Line, there is no option to self-drive or be dropped off at the Start Line. You will be picked up from one of the designated pick-up locations by bus.
Where is the Finish Line?
Both courses will finish at Oliver Community Park where your transport will escort you safely back to your pick-up location, As pandemic protocols evolve more information about the Finish Line and what will be taking place there will be shared. Participants will be advised if gatherings at the Finish Line become permissible, currently there are to be no open gatherings at the Finish Line.
Is there parking available?
There is no parking available at the Start Line or along the course; however there is parking available at the Finish Line. There will be transport available before the race for participants who need to get from the Finish Line to the Start Line. However, we encourage people to take transport directly from a nearby hotel in Osoyoos as we want everyone to get home from the event safely.
TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
How do I get to the Start Line?
All participants will be escorted to the Start Line by race transportation. Currently pick-up locations include FOUR locations in Osoyoos (Spirit Ridge, Walnut Beach, Holiday Inn & Watermark) and ONE location in Oliver (Community Park); and ONE location in Penticton (near South Okanagan Events Centre), The Penticton location will have LIMITED pick-ups if additional pick-up/drop-off locations are added we will update here and notify participants closer to the race date.
Is there parking available?
There is no parking available at the Start Line or along the course; however there is parking available at the Finish Line. There will be transport available before the race for participants who need to get from the Finish Line to the Start Line. However, we encourage people to take transport directly from a nearby hotel in Osoyoos as we want everyone to get home from the event safely.
What is the cost of transportation?
Transportation to the Start Line and from the Finish Line back to the designated sites is included in your registration fee. Transportation is limited to race participants only.
COSTUME & TEAM INFORMATION
Running with a team or group of friends? How do we ensure we are all placed together?
In May you will receive an email asking to register as a team. This registration will get you in the same wave. You will be given your wave details in-person during your registration on the Friday of Half Corked Marathon Weekend.
Do we have to wear costumes?
No, costumes are no required however many people find they make the race more fun and there is a costume contest and prizes given out for the best and most creative costumes based on group size. Yes, there is an individual costume award.
FINISH LINE INFORMATION
Do I need to purchase a ticket for the Party! at the Finish Line?
The details of the Party! at the Finish Line are pending as pandemic restrictions continue to evolve. Whatever the festivities at the Finish Line, Half Corked Marathon participants DO NOT require an additional ticket. If friends and family spectators are permissible they WILL require a ticket to the Party! at the Finish Line.
Is lunch included?
As a race participant a picnic lunch at the Finish Line is included.
How to I get home from the Finish Line?
Transportation is included in your race registration, buses will be called by wave taking you back to your original pick-up location.
